The Center for Geographic Information Systems (CGIS) is an interdisciplinary research center focused on GIS technology applications, education, and providing cutting-edge innovative solutions to diverse real world problems.

CGIS professionals encompass a wide variety of academic disciplines and GIS experience.

To support its mission, CGIS provides state-of-the-art technology and facilities. CGIS serves as a leader and catalyst for the advancement of GIS technology for academic institutions, private industry, and the public sector.
