Dreams & Crossroads
Atlanta's Neighborhoods
This multi-phase project by the City of Atlanta uses new communications technologies to explain, define and stimulate neighborhood redevelopment in Atlanta. Its first phase, Stories Worth Sharing, tells the stories of Atlanta's intown neighborhoods and the City's ongoing redevelopment plans. The second phase, Elegba, will be a multi-media projection site at the crossroads of the freeway overpass and historic Auburn Avenue in downtown Atlanta. The third phase, a series of neighborhood Electronic Town Centers, will be community-based sites for residents to access the world through the Internet, thus empowering social and economic connections and stimulating neighborhood video, storytelling, and history projects using computer technologies.
