B. Civic Spaces, Parks, and Plazas

Atlanta's center city abounds with opportunities to create significant public spaces for civic and recreational use. Both new sites and improvements to existing sites provide the city with both conventional and unconventional parks and plazas for 1996 as well as the long term benefits of Atlantans and visitors alike. There are seven new independent public spaces and numerous others connected to pedestrian corridors and other public areas.
