Our Day at Zoo Atlanta...cont'd

The day turned out to be a great success. After the press conference we continued to demo the Virtual Gorilla Project to kids from Zoo Atlanta's "Gorilla Squad" and other visiting middle school children as well as many of the staff members of Zoo Atlanta. Everyone seemed to enjoy the environment and interaction that it afforded them and (we hope) learned more about gorillas in the process. We as researchers learned alot from the experience as well. While we watched kids interact with and explore the virtual environment, we took notes on their use of the system. Our 'Day at the Zoo' provided valuable feedback adn suggestions for improvements which will be incorporated into later versions of the project.
