The QuickTime VR player requires the system extension QuickTime 2.1. Download QuickTime 2.1 now:

The downloaded file is a compressed archive file called qtmac.hqx. To expand and unarchive this file you need Stuffit Expander, Stuffit Lite, or Stuffit Deluxe. Use one of these tools to expand the archive to get the file named QuickTime. Next you must go into the System Folder and then into the Extensions folder and drag your old Quicktime extension into the trash and replace it with your new Quicktime extension that you just downloaded.

The QuickTime VR player allows you to view QuickTime VR scenes as well as watch regular Quicktime movies. In this procedure you'll download the player, then you'll install it as a Helper Application for the Mime Type Video/Quicktime in your Netscape 2.0 Browser.

Step 1: Check the configuration of your Macintosh.
