 Atlanta University Center
Clark Atlanta University
Clark Atlanta University, a combination of both Clark College and Atlanta University, was founded in 1988. This merger was
ideal since both colleges were dedicated to educating African-Americans. Clark Atlanta will be host to numerous field hockey
events (7/20-8/2), as well as preliminary basketball events. After the Games, Clark Atlanta will receive the 5,000 seat
stadium for use as a home for both soccer and track & field.
Morris Brown College
Morris Brown College, founded on October 15, 1885, was the first educational institution in Georgia to be under solely
African-American patronage.
Morris Brown's new stadium, which cost ACOG over $25 million, can seat 15,000 spectators and is located across
from Clark Atlanta University's stadium. After the games, the Morris Brown stadium will be the home of the Morris Brown
football team as well as prove useful for other activties and events such as soccer and track and feild.
Morehouse College

Founded in 1867 in Augusta, Georgia, Morehouse College is a historically black liberal arts institution of higher
education. Morehouse will host the Olympic Basketball primaries. The primaries will run from July 20-25, and July 28-30.
In order to accomodate such a large event a new gymnasium was built. ACOG has put $8 million into the Morehouse
Gymnasium. The new gym has a seating capacity of 5,700, and after the games it will serve as the home of Morehouse's intercollegiate basketball program.
