Clark Atlanta University

Clark Atlanta University, a combination of both Clark College and Atlanta University, was founded in 1988. This merger was ideal since both colleges were dedicated to educating African-Americans. Clark Atlanta will be host to numerous field hockey events (7/20-8/2), as well as preliminary basketball events. After the Games, Clark Atlanta will receive the 5,000 seat stadium for use as a home for both soccer and track & field.

Founded in 1867 in Augusta, Georgia, Morehouse College is a historically black liberal arts institution of higher education. Morehouse will host the Olympic Basketball primaries. The primaries will run from July 20-25, and July 28-30.
In order to accomodate such a large event a new gymnasium was built. ACOG has put $8 million into the Morehouse Gymnasium. The new gym has a seating capacity of 5,700, and after the games it will serve as the home of Morehouse's intercollegiate basketball program.
