Atlanta Fulton County Stadium
Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, the home of the Atlanta Braves, will also soon be
the home of the Olympic baseball competition. Since 1966, the stadium has
been trodden by the cleated shoes of baseball players and will continue
this tradition during the summer of '96 when it is host to players from
all corners of the planet.
During the Games, the 52,000 seats will be filled with baseball-loving
fans complete with hot-dogs and soda cans in hand. Being one of the
least expensive and most popular events for the spectators, it will attract large numbers
of people.
After the Olympics, the stadium will be torn
down and paved over to facilitate the installment
of 4,282 parking spaces which will be used for
space for the Olympic Stadium. The Atlanta Fulton County
Stadium will spend its last days of existence
in glory by hosting the best baseball players
from around the world.
