The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid (OSFA) is dedicated to helping students and families apply for and obtain the financial aid necessary to pursue a Georgia Tech degree. Undergraduate Fellowships Scholarships, Awards and Competitions


Generations of Georgia Tech alumni and friends have supported the School’s students and their ambitions with philanthropic gifts. Awards to graduate students, travel scholarships, tuition support and prizes  are made at a program each spring based on need, merit, and the stipulations of donors.

  • Dominique Bonnamour Lloyd Scholarship: Awarded to undergraduate architecture students for study abroad, with preference to those studying in Paris.
  • Stang & Newdow Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students for study abroad.
  • Andrew D. Jarrett Memorial Fellowship:  Awarded to undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need, participating in study abroad.
  • Robert D. Betzel Jr. Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students with demonstrated financial need, participating in study abroad.
  • Cooper Carry Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students for study abroad, with preference to those studying in Paris.
  • William L. Pulgram Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students for study abroad.
  • Vernon McCoy-William Shipley Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students for study abroad, with preference to those studying in Paris.

  • Paul M. Heffernan Travel Abroad Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate and graduate architecture students for study abroad.
  • Alan Salzman Memorial Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students who demonstrate financial need.
  • Marthame Sanders Fellowship:  Awarded to architecture students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, a marked flair for creativity and evidence of determination to make a contribution to the betterment of society.
  • James Bowden Addy Memorial Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students.
  • A. Frank Beckum Jr. Memorial Award:  Awarded to junior architecture students who demonstrate financial need and academic merit.
  • Lewis F. Lanter Student Award:  Awarded to an architecture student in recognition of excellent performance in the Senior Design Studio sequence.
  • Hugh Barrett Coyle Scholarship: Awarded to undergraduate architecture students who demonstrate financial need and are citizens of the United States.
  • Janice N. Wittschiebe Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students who demonstrate financial need and are citizens of the United States.
  • Albert Lee Hawes Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students.
  • James Russell Tuten Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate students majoring in architecture or building construction.
  • John William Sandeford Memorial Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students from the Central Savannah River Area.
  • Ruth Kaigler Goode & D. Rex Goode Scholarship:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students.
  • Joseph F. Steed Endowment:  Awarded to undergraduate architecture students who demonstrate financial need.
  • Spirit of the Studio Award:  Recipient selected by peers in junior studio.
  • SOM Foundation Fellowships and Competition:  Graduating undergraduate students of architecture, design, urban design and structural engineering are eligible to apply.  http://www.somfoundation.som.com/award
  • Stanley, Love-Stanley Award:  Awarded to architecture students of African descent for progressive academic achievement.
  • Gwinner Student Leadership Fellowship:  Awarded annually to the president and vice-president of the Georgia Tech Chapter of AIAS.
  • Alpha Rho Chi Medal:  Awarded by the Alpha Rho Chi Honorary Architecture Fraternity to a graduating senior who has demonstrated leadership, service to the school, and professional promise.
